BOY AM I GLAD ITS MONDAY!

This weekend was very long. To start Kyle has been on call every day this week, the kids had Friday off and I am still trying to recover from surgery. If that's not enough Hailey and I have that lovely cold virus that is going around. So you know what happens when baby has a cold. That's right mom gets to stand and bounce, not the easiest thing to do after surgery.

Friday morning we get up and the kids help to clean up the downstairs. After they had destroyed it of course. Then I had someone from church want to stop by. I thought well the downstairs is clean so I'll hurry and take a shower before she comes... Ha Ha Ha! I get in the shower and Hailey, Jenna and Aubrey decided that they had to shower with mom. Great at least they all got a shower. While I was in the shower I had to get out four times to stop the kids from killing each other that's right four times. When I finally finished showering it was time for the lady from church to be here so I hurry and get dressed. She comes and we have a nice little visit. When she leaves I get lunch ready for the kids and we eat. After lunch I told them that no one could go upstairs or any where I wasn't because of how the day had been going. Of course they didn't listen and went upstairs anyway. I went up to see what they were doing and I find them in my room with the comet dumped out all over my bedroom carpet. It would have been fine if they hadn't already put water on it and tried to scrub it up with a towel. So now my bedroom carpet has a few bleach spots. You would think that was the end but it wasn't. Once they got out of time out for that they thought that sliding down the stairs in their sleeping bags was a good idea. What a mess! Then they were thirsty and got a brand new bottle of apple juice out and drank all of it and what they didn't drink was on the kitchen floor.

Saturday they were afraid to do anything too big daddy was home. Sunday however was a different story. Kyle was on call so I was trying to get the kids ready for church, thank heavens church doesn't start until 1pm. I had the kids ready and asked Eliza and Josh to go downstairs and make sandwiches for lunch while I got ready, I told them not to make a mess or fight. Well needless to say that is not what they did. It wasn't 10 minutes and Aubrey's upstairs screaming that Josh put honey in her hair. Josh of course said he didn't do it but that Eliza put honey on his shirt and pants. Then of course Eliza said that she didn't do anything and Josh just dumped the honey on her dress. So now its 15 minutes before we are suppose to leave for church and all the kids have honey all over them. Then Kyle calls and asks if we are going to church because he was on his way home. The kids hurried really fast to get cleaned up and ready for church before dad got home. We finally made it to church but by that time I was so wore out that I couldn't handle any more than just sacrament meeting.

That is why I am so glad that it is Monday. Because Monday means that the kids have to go back to school. Kyle changes services today and he won't be on call again until Sept. 18th, that is another good reason I am glad that it is Monday. I hope I haven't bored you with all of this silly craziness. I love being a Mom especially now that it is Monday.
